Mrs. Nunes
Hi! My name is Mrs. Nunes, a retired public school teacher, who is not ready to hang up her backpack just yet. I had taught grades K-1 for a couple of decades before moving back to Holliston and retiring from my district. It was a difficult decision but the hour-long commute each way wasn't going to work for me. Opening this child care program was an answer to that. The commute is excellent!
A little about me: I am currently licensed as a highly qualified teacher through the Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to teach Early Childhood Education PreK-2 and English Language Learners (ELL) PreK-6. I hold an M.Ed in ELL and another in Moderate Special Needs. My qualifications also include EEC certification as an Early Childhood Lead Teacher.
My philosophy is to guide children into making appropriate decisions by giving them choices while understanding that they've been on this planet for all of 48 months. Mistakes will be made but the focus needs to be on learning from actions rather than punishing inappropriate choices. This is same for those participating in the homework club.They may be older but are still navigating life through personal choice making.

My name is Ms. Carrie! I have worked for four years in the Dedham Public School system in a preschool inclusion classroom with both general education students and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I also have a year of experience working in a daycare setting with children ranging from infants through Pre-K.
A little about me: I currently hold a Safety-Care certificate and am certified in First Aid and CPR. I'm currently working on certification for Lead Teacher through EEC. Working with young children has always been a passion of mine. I believe children learn best through creativity, imagination, play, and hands-on experiences.
I am so excited to create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and be themselves!
